Part-Time Research Associate

SonALAsense, Inc. | 1030 Brittan Ave, San Carlos, CA 94070

Core Role Responsibilities:

Preparation of buffers and reagents.
Manipulation of primary human tissues and immortalized cell lines, including peripheral blood mononuclear cells and bone marrow derived mononuclear cells sourced from cancer and non-cancer patient samples.
Immunofluorescent staining for surface antibodies and viability.
Sample acquisition via flow cytometry.
Maintenance and QC of flow cytometry instrumentation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in cell biology, immunology or related field.
Comfortable working with primary human tissues.
Experienced in the use of basic laboratory equipment (i.e., scales, pipets and centrifuges).
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work late afternoon and evening shifts.

Comfortable following SOPs in a fast-paced lab environment.
Comfortable working in a low-light environment for extended periods of time.
Experienced in human immunology and/or leukemia.
Experienced in BD Biosciences flow cytometry instrumentation and software.
Experienced in statistical analysis of scientific data sets.
